(8-18-1936 - 6-6-2026)
The youngest of 8 children, Mary Ann was affectionately known as the "Caboose" in the Kane household. From an early age she followed life with great spirit and determination. Leading her to many destinations along the way.
Mary Ann was rich in family, friends, co-workers and students. To those she bonded with she remained true and lasting. Her spiritual side remained strong and inspiring. Her Irish stubbornness kept her true to a fault. As she aged she became more and more calm and gentle.
A saint she was not, but surely a woman with broad vision and warm heart. She would say she lived a charmed life.
Mary Ann took great pride in her life long education while finding teaching a shared and joyful exchange.
Being the last of her siblings to die, she leaves behind a multitude of most loving nieces and nephews as well as her life partner Liz Lynch.
Eternal thanks to Hospice care through Hope West and Ferris Center.
There will be no service and a private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
