Jan was a beloved mother, wife, and sister. She passed away on March 27th at 79 after facing a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. Her final moments at home were pain-free and she was comforted by the immense love of her children and the memories of a life well-lived.

Family was important to Jan who was raised with five siblings in Hendricks, Minnesota. Her parents, Edwin LeRoy (Roy) and Stella Randolph, were a farmer and a teacher and Jan was perpetually curious and enjoyed learning. She started college, though transitioned to working in banking when her husband Marlin ("Scotty") enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam.

Jan was the proud mother of two sons, Ryan and Randall, and she treasured the love and mutual support she shared with them. Ryan, a chiropractor, bestowed her with an understanding of health that gave her the vigor to embark on incredible adventures. Randall, an opera singer, introduced her to what she called "the endlessly magnificent world of opera" and unforgettable travel experiences in Europe. Her daughter-in-law, Heidi, taught her the joy of hugs, and son-in-law, Nic, helped her find solutions to many things, while Quinn and Reed Margulies added laughter and fun to her and Scotty's lives.

Professionally, Jan worked in banking for 30 years and was admired for her dedication and excellence, with colleagues noting her professionalism, organizational skills, and unwavering commitment. She retired from the combined roles of Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Officer, and Executive Secretary to the President at ANB Bank.

Jan shared an interest in travel with her late husband of 55 years, Scotty. After moving from Minnesota to Colorado 43 years ago, they enjoyed Jeep excursions over the mountains, and they also shared memorable trips to Hawaii, Alaska, and Morocco. Once retired, they savored the experience of motor-homing for 15 years, crisscrossing the United States many times.

Jan's life was a testament to embracing experiences with courage, love, patience, and wonder. She often reflected on the common-sense guidance and deep love of her husband Scotty, and the wonderful family she was so grateful to call her own. Jan will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
