Eric Joe Hanson

Eric Joe Hanson, age 61, passed away on December 17th, 2025, from cancer. He was born June 7, 1964, in Hemet, CA to Melinda & Joey Hanson. The family moved to Grand Junction in 1970. Eric graduated from Mesa State College. Eric and Dawn Marie Zangerie were married in October 1990. Their daughter, Lindsay Jade, was born October 1994. Lindsay was "the apple of her father's eye" and he was so proud of all of her accomplishments.

 

Eric loved  the outdoors- he camped, fished, boated, hiked and biked the surrounding mountains and deserts whenever possible. Besides his daughter, wife and mother, Eric is survived by his sisters; Carrie Riggs, Cathy Hanson & Wendy Bissinger, plus many nieces and nephews.
