Born on April 1st, 1956 in Grand Junction, Colorado, he was the eldest of four children. As a young boy, he enjoyed fishing on the Grand Mesa with his dad, granddad, and two younger brothers, Ron and Grant. He enjoyed skiing and rock climbing and later developed a passion for golf. During high school, Roger seized the opportunity to travel to Germany with his German class. This trip left an indelible impression on him, one that would pique his passion for travel throughout the rest of his life. Following his graduation from Grand Junction High School in 1974, he graduated from Mesa College (Colorado Mesa University) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
His career path was extensive. In addition to Colorado, he worked in the oil industry in Oklahoma, on Wake Island and Diego Garcia, in Thailand and finally Florida, where he ultimately retired as a cost estimator in 2021.
Roger was a sociable person and easily made friends wherever he went. As the HOA president, Roger befriended many residents in his condominium community in Saint Petersburg. He enjoyed helping out those who needed extra support, as well as attending his meet up dinners with friends and neighbors. Roger loved to walk in the nature areas in Pinellas County. He would often post pictures of exotic birds and alligators he encountered in the parks near his home.
Roger was a generous caring son and brother. He truly enjoyed being with his family. Though he never had children, Roger enjoyed spoiling his younger sister, nephew, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Roger lived a full and adventurous life. Two of his greatest passions were fishing and travel. He was always ready for an exciting adventure to a new place, especially if it involved a boat ride. He loved to travel, whether it be with family, friends or on an independent voyage, and was proud to say that he had done the equivalent of circling the earth at least once throughout his lifetime. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and zest for life.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Eugene Graham and Norma Jean (Malleis) Graham. He is survived by his brother Ronald (Jodi) Graham of Colorado, his brother Grant (Lorinda) Graham of Wyoming, and his sister, Kari Graham of Colorado, as well as a nephew, 3 nieces, numerous great nephews, great nieces, and cousins.
