Stuart Powell

March 30th 1940 - September 29 2026

 Stuart Powell of Battlement Mesa, passed at the age of 86 on September 29, 2026. Stu was the son of Rolland and Lucille Powell of Fruita. Stu has left behind his wife Peggy, daughters Deidre Drake and Heidi Powell-Spriggs and son Esteban Powell, 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Stu grew up in Fruita, ventured the world and received his Engineering degree at the University of Alaska. He especially enjoyed mining in the US and Mexico. He always had a busy brain, was generous and a happy optimist. He will be missed.
