RESPEC, Inc. is seeking a Project Geologist for its Grand Junction, CO location who will perform geologic logging & sampling for soils, rock, & other materials according to standards & protocols to support geological interpretation, resource estimation & determination, geochemical analysis, geotechnical testing & other engineering design and interpretation. Req. BS dgr in geology, geophysics, or geological engineering, or related discipline plus 6 yrs of rld work exp. Must have Professional Geologist (PG, P.Geo., or CPG) licensure or ability to obtain upon hire; Pre-employment background/drug screening required & 10% travel annually to domestic and/or international client sites/drill rigs. Salary depends on education and experience, range is $115,253 – $118,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. This job requires a minimum of three months of prior experience working in agriculture handling both manual and machine tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion of use and after a worker has an accident at work. $16.28/hr or current applicable AEWR or applicable piece rate depending on crop activity. Raise/bonus at employer discretion. Workers are guaranteed 3/4 of work hours of total period. Work tools, supplies, equipment supplied by employer without charge to worker. Housing with kitchen facilities provided at no cost to only those workers who are not reasonably able to return same day to their place of residence at time of recruitment.
